Brilliant portrayal of one of the most horrific events of the 20th century. Authentic in every detail, it seems so real it is painful to watch. The only other Spielberg film I have seen is "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," which was awe-inspiring. As this one is. Eric Bana is superb as the morally conflicted Avner; so are Geoffrey Rush (see him in "The King's Speech") and Daniel Craig (better than the insipid James Bond). Spielberg shows the range of emotions these people felt, which is very honest. No sugar coating, it is brutally told. Music , editing and scenery are outstanding. The Israeli operation of jusice was ingenious: slow, steady and imaginative. And ultimately successful. Eleven murdered athletes were avenged, and that is the best part.
