Betrayal

the Crisis in the Catholic Church

If you're not already angered by the sex scandal that's plagued the Catholic Church, get ready to steam when you read this book. Forget the coverups and obstruction of justice. The story of one priest who was practically an open advocate for NAMBLA in the 1970s - long before the scandals broke out - and got away with his activities is particularly galling. I don't know if this quite compares to Woodward and Bernstein, but the fact the Boston Globe single-handed managed to bring the world's most powerful church to its knees is much more than commendable.
