Reading this book made me feel uncomfortable in the same way that I did when I read Lolita. Getting inside the mind of a calculated pedophile is scary, and were not used to thinking of women as pedophiles. Right after I read this, I watched a Saturday Night Live skit that made fun of boys who had sex with their high school teachers. It was obvious that SNL took the old-fashioned view of how "lucky" the boy got. For that reason alone, I would recommend this book because it really makes you see how it's one thing for the boy to be hot for teacher and quite another for the teacher to exploit that adolescent phenomenon.
