It has been a long time since I finished a book in one day. Though this is a short novel, I was immediately drawn into the plot and theme, which I found quite fascinating. My son had previously read it and given a good rating. His and my tastes are similar and we will read the likes of the other. From previous posts, we are hard core Walt Longmire fanatics and discuss with delight each book as it comes out. As I indicated, he had given this book a good rating and so I thought I would read it too. I cannot and frankly will not get into the story. Read the Goodreads synopsis to know the premise of the book. For, if I were to say anything about the story plot or anything else, I simply will do a horrible injustice by spoiling it for you, if you were to decide to read it. This I will say. This book is easy to read, endearing, and well written. This is no amateur author, and his seasoning and experience come through so well. The characters are well developed. Developed around a story plot that makes you think from the beginning to the very end. It will not blow or warp you mind, but the story will definitely leave an impression on you. The plot, accentuated by the characters, all blend together in one of the stories that enchants you from the first page to the last, thus the reason I read it a day. Since the title as well as the synopsis will fill you in of the premise of the story, I can divulge this; you will come away with a deeper appreciation for life, not so much time, maybe in a perspective of not letting it over take you, but to live in it. Can not recommend this book enough.
