I loved this book as the language described every inch of the story in detail and every chapter pulled me in with excitement. The ending has a great twist and I didn't see it coming instead, I wanted to know what happened next. I appreciate that the author concluded the book with a unfinished story line. As a reader, I found myself imagining what happed next.

Somehow it looks all too predictable as in this genre of books and films.
Interesting from the point of view - to learn something from the field of medicine.
But in general - neither fish nor fowl.

A very exciting thriller involving a heroine with Asperger's Syndrome. I could not put it down. Per the author's note at the end, he has had personal experience with an Asperger's child, which must be what allowed the fabric of his heroine and her brother to come across as real. I highly recommend this book.

Really good thriller. I couldn't put it down, although some of the medical terminology went way over my head.

Second Opinion
by Michael Palmer

Two of the characters have Asperger's syndrome (autism). It's an interesting reading but a bit slower, if compared to most of Michael Palmer's other great books.

****POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT*****

This book is definitely the page-turner it seems to be at first glance. And like any good suspense novel, it keeps you guessing and wondering every step of the way. But I personally felt the ending did not do the intricate plot justice, and seemed to be intended more for shock value rather than a feeling of it-all-makes-sense-now.
That said, it definitely satisfies the old suspense-novel craving, but it probably wouldn't join the list of excellent ones.
