This is the standard Pimsleur language course. On the plus side, it uses native speakers who speak reasonably slowly, and the incremental content is taught at a reasonable pace. On the minus side, there is zero written support, which is problematical for the adult learners that this course is aimed at. The actual lessons are almost identical across the many languages that Pimsleur offers, with no attempt to teach the CULTURE underlying each language; the aim is purely to teach the linguistic CODE. It is a pity that basic grammatical terminology (nouns, verbs, adjectives) appear to be taboo. It could help the learner understand how each language actually works. The same criticism can be made of the horrendously expensive Rosetta Stone courses.
