It was ok, probably a Scream movie too much.

I wanted the kulkin character and the panatierre character to have a chance to develop into a smokin' romance, but they were interrupted, so that the scarey main plot could be developed. who knows, maybe filmmakers are right about the limited attention spans of the audience; the result is all too formulaic for me.

I love Wes Craven films but this one in the Scream franchise should have never made it to the big screen. It was so awful, unoriginal and in the end I just wanted all the characters to be killed off that way there would be no survivors in the film and we wouldn't have to deal with yet another Scream movie that is unnecessary.

Wait a second.....where is the great music from previous trilogy of "Scream", especially the theme tune of Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand"? The story is not the same without it! I guess they got rid off the music cos the plot is set ten years after the original series. I do not see a reason why. It was part of the series. Sadness.
The Ghost face's voice even though it's the same actor does not sound the same either.
In overall this was the weakest sequence from them all. Looked kinda stretched.
Always return to the trilogy, but this one will not watch again.

Long and all over the place but LOVED THE ENDING!!! I kinda wish Sydney died and Jill lived to see what writers would have done for Sream 5.

I had very little hope for this one. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The plot is very much the same as the other Scream movies, with a few twists and decent suspense. I didn't see the big twist coming almost until it happened, which was good. The action and dialogue were pretty good. Didn't reinvent the series or anything, but if you liked the others you will like this one, too. Better than average horror film, especially for a sequel.

"Scream" was fantastic. I was not dissapointed with this installment in the franchise plus the original actors from the previous "Scream" movies was in it

It makes-up for the third installment of the Scream series, however, the script lacked plot which made this movie seem more like another part of the "Saw" franchise, nothing but blood and guts. The ending was unexpected, except for some earlier parts which gave it away.

If you have watched any of the previous Scream movies, you had better put this one one on your list. But don't expect a masterpiece though. It's just a fun popcorn movie and the ending was a great surprise much like in Scream 1, which Scream 4 is basically a remake of. Word of caution though. I didn't think it was possible, but Scream 4 is much more violent than the ones before it. I was actually kind of shocked at the first "real" Ghostface murder because the violence level the victim experienced was a couple of notches up on the scale normally seen in slasher movies.

It would have been a 3 1/2 star movie except for the third act. My lord did this movie spiral quickly.

Sherrie: Hello?

The Voice: Who is this?

Sherrie: The more impatient version of the person you just spoke to.

The Voice: I'm sorry. You don't have to be a bitch about it.

Sherrie: Hmm, of course I don't. Eat me.

The Voice: [yelling] You hang up on me and I'll cut through your neck until I feel bone!

Trudie: [to Sherrie] Who is it?

Sherrie: [handing the phone over] It's for you.

Trudie: Hello?

The Voice: Who is this?

Trudie: It's Trudie. Who's this?

The Voice: This is the last person you're ever gonna see alive.
