Good book and loved the recipes.
This the second book in this series that I have read, and I want more. The characters are fun and Mahalia's cousin Wavonne is sure to tickle your funny bone. A good , fun series.
Mahalia Watkins has built Sweet Tea, a fine dining soul food restaurant, with sweat, tears, and the backing of an investor she doesn't trust. Marcus Rand is suave, charming, and always pursuing business deals that aren't on the "up and up". When Mahalia and her cousin Wavonne find Marcus dead on their kitchen floor, the first thought is to move the body so Sweet Tea doesn't become a crime scene. When the police start looking at Wavonne as the primary suspect, Mahalia decides to help them by finding the real killer. Good characterization and a fast-moving plot makes me hope the author is working on a second book. The book also includes recipes from Sweet Tea.
