This is a wonderful novel about life in Minnesota for immigrants from Norway in the early 1900's. The character studies of the members of this family and their life on a farm are engaging. Uncle Einar is quite the character.

I didn't want the book to end.

Loved this book. Awaiting the next pieces of this series to be available for check-out. I have read most of the books that lead up to this. You can begin this series without reading any previous books by the same author.

A sweet beginning to a new series by Lauraine Snelling based in Minnesota, Rune and Signe Carlson travel with their boys from Norway in the early 1900s. Relying on the generosity and hospitality of an aunt and uncle, they immigrate in hopes of one day being able to farm on their own land. Uncle Einar and Aunt Gerd are not as expected, and the Carlsons begin to adapt and attempt to hold onto their dreams as they learn more about family, faith, and forgiveness.

I look forward to the next installment!
