I really liked Bill Sharp's police stories. Most of them take place in British Columbia where he policed both small towns and big cities. If you want a good insight into policing in general, but especially in BC, read this book. As the saying goes, "you couldn't make this stuff up." A most enjoyable read.

There are many stories in this book and it is easy to read as each story is, on average, only a few pages long. It ranks near the top - very enjoyable.

Bill Sharp gives us a very entertaining glimpse into his long and distinguished career. The stories hold the readers attention and it is the best book about the RCMP I have ever read. He tells it like it was, you do the best you can with what you have and in the end you can feel good about your work. I laughed out loud about traffic cops and his one day on traffic section. I recommend this book to anybody who is thinking about a career in policing. It is full of stories that include all aspects of crime like murder, rape, robberies, kidnapping and drunk driving. It also shows the humorous side of police work. Enjoyable and informative. Ken Hampton
