I, too, am a huge fan of Marianne Williamson starting with A Woman's Worth, Tears to Triumph, and now The Divine Law of Compensation. She has touched something so deep within me that for a few weeks after reading The Divine Law of Compensation I was the happiest I could remember being in a long time (after the loss of a loved one). Alas, as happens, the feeling didn't last, so I conclude that this is a book that needs to be read over and over to the point that your soul memorizes the vital parts of it. Ms. Williamson writes so beautifully; you feel that she has been through the same trials and tribulations we all have, and makes no apologies for it. Life is what it is - messy sometimes - but there is redemption and hope and grace; this is what she leaves us with. Bless you!
I am a huge fan of Marianne Williamson! I have also attended and watched her lectures. She is a passionate woman who genuinely cares about people and has incredible insights to offer. What I respect the most is her ability to reach out to people of different faith backgrounds without offending or ridiculing their beliefs. There are very few people who can do that. The Law of Divine Compensation is the fourth book of hers that I’ve read. It’s a short read that encompasses various aspects of life with a spiritual and positive approach to money and the good it can do if people utilize it properly. Most if not all of Marianne’s concepts and ideas are derived from the Course in Miracles book.
The Law of Divine Compensation teaches how to ask, pray, cultivate, and receive blessings from the universe and God in order to live a more spiritually driven and fulfilling life. What I love even more is that there are written prayers that the reader can read to themselves in order to begin this magnificent and transformative process. I do think this book is a bit short and rushed (thus the reason I gave it a four and not five) so if you want to go more in depth about Marianne’s spirituality and insights check out her book, The Gift of Change. It was my personal favorite.
